What you will see

Canada’s “Boreal Landscape” is home to billions of migratory birds and some of the world’s largest populations of wolves, bear, caribou, and moose. Manitobans in particular love their boreal forest, including the thousands of life-giving lakes and rivers, and the quiet, understated beauty of the sun setting over the trees. Everyday sightings of deer, foxes, beavers and many more birds and animals, make this an exciting place to visit, all year round.

For biking, bring biking shorts, short and long sleeved shirts, biking shoes or runners, and a bike helmet. Depending on weather conditions, a wind and rain proof jacket. If you do not have a bike, you can register to rent a bike at Wilderness Edge (See bike rentals)

A few other items to consider are, personal water bottle, small snack, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and camera.
